ATC RADAR
www.molde-airport.com provides you live radar image of air traffic in Møre og Romsdal, Sogn og Fjordane, Oppland and partly Hordaland and South Trøndelag, as well as some km out in the Atlantic. Radar system is provided by Kinetic Avionic Products Limited and is named SBS-1 Real-Time viritual radar.
The radar image is automaticly updated every 5 seconds. You can click on the aircraft to provide information about altitude, speed, etc. By clicking and holding the left mouse button you can drag the map in the direction you want and also see the traffic in the rest of Scandinavia. Also visit www.flygradar.nu which is the homepage to the company that delivers server solutions for the radar.
There are some aircraft that do not appear on the radar. These are: Fokker 50, Embraer, Dash8 and almost all of SAS Boeing 737-500. In addition, no helicopters and small aircraft.
For those with a slow connection to the Internet and / or PC it is recommended that you use the old way to see the radar. To gain access to the old radar must do the following:
